*తాత్పర్యము : ఆ గర్భస్థశిశువు సుకుమారముగా ఉండును. ఆకలిగొన్న క్రిమికీటకాదులు ఆ పిండము యొక్క ప్రతి అంగమును క్షణక్షణము తొలుచుచుండును. అందువలన ఆ పిండము అత్యంత క్లేశములకు గురియగును. అచేతన స్థితిలో ఉండును.*

*06. kṛmibhiḥ kṣata-sarvāṅgaḥ saukumāryāt pratikṣaṇam*
*mūrcchām āpnoty uru-kleśas tatratyaiḥ kṣudhitair muhuḥ*
*MEANING : Bitten again and again all over the body by the hungry worms in the abdomen itself, the child suffers terrible agony because of his tenderness. He thus becomes unconscious moment after moment because of the terrible condition.*
*PURPORT : The miserable condition of material existence is not only felt when we come out of the womb of the mother, but is also present within the womb. Miserable life begins from the moment the living entity begins to contact his material body. Unfortunately, we forget this experience and do not take the miseries of birth very seriously. In Bhagavad-gītā, therefore, it is specifically mentioned that one should be very alert to understand the specific difficulties of birth and death. Just as during the formation of this body we have to pass through so many difficulties within the womb of the mother, at the time of death there are also many difficulties. As described in the previous chapter, one has to transmigrate from one body to another, and the transmigration into the bodies of dogs and hogs is especially miserable. But despite such miserable conditions, due to the spell of māyā we forget everything and become enamored by the present so-called happiness, which is described as actually no more than a counteraction to distress.*

*How many stars and how many planets are in the heavens? We cannot count them, and how is it that they are all so systematically and mathematically arranged with relative pull upon one another? The wonder remains as to how all this system could have been conceived, if at all there were a mind which could have originally set these bodies in such a harmonious relationship with one another. If there is anyone who could have done this, there could then be no greater wonder than the mind of that person.*
*Well, to come to the point, it was discovered that the heavenly bodies are not scattered as children might imagine. There is an unknown power connecting these bodies, and this power is the explanation for the movements of the stars in the universe. But our explanation is not complete here. The wonder yet remains. *Gabriel Pradiipaka has given a detailed explanation on sva. "His own (svasya) (creative) Consciousness (caitanyasya)”, but this is a way to explain what literally means “one’s own Self”. Obviously, each of us can create according to the measure or aspect of his own recognition of the Self. But in the case of a great Yogī, being a suprabuddha or perfectly awakened, the measure of his creative Consciousness is his own Self fully. In other words, Svá can be translated here as “his own Self” because the great Yogī has realized Him completely. So, his creative Consciousness amounts to his Self as a whole, while in the rest of the aspirants “svá” amounts to the proportion of their recognition of the Self.*
