*తాత్పర్యము : ప్రభూ! నేను నీ మాయలోబడి, నా ఆత్మస్వరూపుడవైన నిన్ను విస్మరించితిని. త్రిగుణములతోను, కర్మవాసనలతోను బంధింపబడి సంసార చక్రమున పరిభ్రమించు చుంటిని. అనేక జన్మలెత్తి, నానా కష్టములను అనుభవించితిని. నాకు శాంతి లభింపలేదు. కానీ, ఇప్పుడు నాకు ఆత్మ స్వరూప జ్ఞానము కలిగినది. నాకు ఈ జ్ఞానము ప్రాప్తించుటకు నీ అనుగ్రహమే కారణము. మహత్తరమైన నీ అనుగ్రహము కలుగకుండా ఈ ఆత్మజ్ఞానము ఎట్లు లభించెడిది?*

*naṣṭa-smṛtiḥ punar ayaṁ pravṛṇīta lokaṁ yuktyā kayā mahad-anugraham antareṇa*
*MEANING : The human soul further prays: The living entity is put under the influence of material nature and continues a hard struggle for existence on the path of repeated birth and death. This conditional life is due to his forgetfulness of his relationship with the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Therefore, without the Lord's mercy, how can he again engage in the transcendental loving service of the Lord?*
*PURPORT : The knowledge the conditioned soul gains by mental speculation, however powerful it may be, is always too imperfect to approach the Absolute Truth. It is said that without the mercy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead one cannot understand Him or His actual form, quality and name. Those who are not in devotional service go on speculating for many, many thousands of years, but they are still unable to understand the nature of the Absolute Truth.*
*Māyā is so strong that the Lord says that it is very difficult to surmount her influence. But one can do so very easily "if he surrenders unto Me." Mām eva ye prapadyante: anyone who surrenders unto Him can overcome the influence of the stringent laws of material nature. It is clearly said here that a living entity is put under the influence of māyā by His will, and if anyone wants to get out of this entanglement, this can be made possible simply by His mercy.*

*విహాయసము అనగా హృదయపుండరీకమునందలి సూక్ష్మాకాశము. ఈతడు అట్టి విహాయసము ఆశ్రయ స్తానముగా నున్నవాడు. త్రివిక్రమావతారమున తన పాదమునకు ఆకాశము ఆశ్రయముగా నయ్యెను కావున ఆకాశము ఆశ్రయముగా కలది విష్ణుని పాదమును కావచ్చును. ఆకాశమును ఆశ్రయించి సంచరించు చుండు ఆదిత్యుడనియు ఈ నామమునకు అర్థము చెప్పవచ్చును. 'విహాయసము' అనగా ఆకాశమని అర్థము కావున దానిని ఆశ్రయముగా చేసికొని యుండు వానిని ఈ నామము తెలుపును.*

*OM Vihāyasagataye namaḥ*
*विहायसं गतिर्यस्य विष्णोः पदमुतांशुमान् । विहायस गतिरिति प्रोच्यते विष्णुरेव सः ॥*
*Vihāyasaṃ gatiryasya viṣṇoḥ padamutāṃśumān, Vihāyasa gatiriti procyate viṣṇureva saḥ.*
*Vihāyasa means ākāśa i.e., space within the heart. He dwells in such space. Or during the Vāmana incarnation, His feet encompassed the skies; so the One who dwells in the sky. Or in the form of sun, He moves through the sky. Since Vihāyasa means the sky or space, the One who had it as abode is Vihāyasagatiḥ.*

*🌻 6. The War between the Subject and the Object 🌻*
*The external forces, the objective forces, are the Kauravas. The forces that are subjective may be likened to the Pandavas. So the Mahabharata is a war between the subject and the object. Now, what this object is, is also very difficult to explain. It may be a pencil; it may be a wristwatch; it may be one single item in this world that we may call an object. It may be one human being who may be in the position of an object. It may be a whole family, it may be an entire community, and it may be the whole human setup, the entire mankind or the whole physical universe—it is an object in front of us.*
*The irreconcilability between the subjective attitude of consciousness with its objective structure is the preparation for the Mahabharata battle. Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa used to give a very homely example. Fire can burn ghee, as everyone knows. If we pour ghee over fire, the ghee will be no more. It is simply burned to nothing; it simply becomes vaporised. Yes, it is true, fire has the power to burn ghee and destroy it completely. But, says Sri Ramakrishna, if we pour one quintal of ghee over one spark of fire, what will happen to that fire? Though it is true, in principle, that fire can burn ghee, that one spark of the fire will be extinguished by the quintal of ghee that we poured.*

*చైతన్య స్పృహ యొక్క నాల్గవ స్థితి, తుర్య, మునుపటి మూడు స్థితుల మాదిరిగా మార్పులకు గురికాదు. సాధకుడు ఇతర మూడు స్థితులలో తన ఉనికిని కొనసాగించినప్పటికీ, తుర్య స్థితిలోనే నిరంతరం కొనసాగాలని ఈ సూత్రం చెబుతుంది. సాధారణంగా, ధ్యానం యొక్క లోతైన స్థితుల్లో మాత్రమే తుర్య స్థితిని పొందవచ్చు. కానీ సాధకుడు ధ్యాన స్థితుల్లో మాత్రమే తుర్యను చేరుకుంటుంటే, అతను అత్యున్నత స్థాయి స్పృహతో నిరంతరం అనుసంధానించ బడలేదనే దానిని అది సూచిస్తుంది. చైతన్య స్పృహ యొక్క ఉన్నత స్థాయిల నుండి ఒక వ్యక్తి యొక్క అవగాహన క్షణికావేశంలో ఉపసంహరించ బడితే, ఇంద్రియ ప్రభావాలు అతన్ని మరింత క్రిందికి లాగుతాయి.*

*🌴. In the three states of wakeful, dream and deep sleep states, the bliss of the fourth state of turya should be dropped like oil. 🌴*
*This aphorism attains significance after having discussed about the consequences of having intermittent connectivity with the highest level of consciousness in the previous two aphorisms. The fourth state is turya, which is full of suddhavidyā (pure knowledge) leading to the purest form of consciousness. By empowering the lower levels of consciousness with the higher level of consciousness, the lower levels of consciousness lose their individual identities and become part of turya. In other words, the higher level consciousness continues to prevail over the lower levels of consciousness by making them incapacitated. This subtle internal transformation makes the aspirant to always exist in the state of bliss, derived out of suddhavidyā.*
