జీవులకు మూలము అగు సత్య స్వరూపము ఇచ్చటి శ్రీమాత. ఈమె నుండియే పంచ భూతాత్మకమగు సృష్టి, సృష్టి జీవుల రూపములు ఏర్పడును. హంసవలె శాశ్వత జలముల యందు తేలియాడు చుండును. సృష్టి నిర్వహించుచున్ననూ సృష్టికి సుదూరముగ స్వచ్ఛమై వెలుగొందుచుండును. హంసవతీ అనుటలో హంస లక్షణము లన్నియూ ఈ పద్మమునందుగల ప్రజ్ఞకు వున్నవని తెలియనగును. శివునితో కూడియుండి సృష్టి నిర్మాణమునకు సంధానకర్తయై యున్ననూ, సృష్టి ప్రభావము తనపై ఏ మాత్రము ప్రసరింపదు. శివ తత్త్వముతోనే చిరుహాసముతో సృష్టినంతయూ నిర్వహించును. ఇచ్చటి శ్రీమాతకు ఆరు ముఖములు వర్ణింపబడినవి. ఆమె 'షడాననా'. గాయత్రి మాతను కూడ షడాననగా తెలుపుదురు. ఇచ్చటి శ్రీమాత గాయత్రియే యని తెలియవలెను. షడానన యగు శ్రీమాతను ఘనరూపిణి యందురు.

Srimata here is the embodiment of Truth which is the source of living beings. It is from here that the five elemental creation and the forms for living beings in that creation have manifested. Even while managing the world She resides far away from the world, pure and radiant. In this prgnya and in this Padma she is called Hamsavathi as she has all the characteristics of a swan. Chundunu floated in eternal waters like a swan. Creation is being carried out and the farthest reaches of creation is pure. Even while being the innovator that creates the world along with lord Siva, she is absolutely uninfluenced by the world. She manages the entire creation with a smile, imbibing Siva tattva. Six faces are described for this Srimata. She is 'Shadanana'. Mother Gayatri is also known as Shadanana. It should be known that this Srimata is Gayatri herself. This form of Srimata as Shadanana is called Ghanarupini.
