Salutations to the Surya (Sun god)! సూర్య భగవానుడికి నమస్కారాలు!

వ్యోమనాథస్తమోఖేదీ ఋగ్యజుస్సామపారగః !

ఘనవృష్టిరపాం మిత్రో వింధ్యవీథీప్లవంగమః !!

ఆకాశమునకు అధిపతియైనవాడు రాహువును ఛేదించు లక్షణముగలవాడు, పూర్వాహ్ణమున ఋగ్వేద రూపమును, మధ్యాహ్న సమయమున యజుర్వేద రూపమును, సాయం సమయమున సామవేద రూపమునను అలరారుచుండెడివాడు. ఘనముగా వర్షాలను కురిపించుచుండువాడు. అందువల్లనే జలములను వర్షింపజేయువాడు అని ఖ్యాతి వహించిన, వింధ్యగిరి మార్గమున అతివేగముగా సంచరించువాడు అయిన సూర్య భగవానునికి నమస్కారములు.

Vyomaṇāthāstamokhedi Ṛṭyājussāmaparagaḥ !

ṓṇavrishtirāpaṃ mitro Vindhyavīthīplavangamāḥ !!

He is the lord of the sky, who has the quality of severing Rahu, who resounds in the form of the Rigveda in the morning, in the form of the Yajurveda in the afternoon, and in the form of the Samaveda in the evening. He pours down the rains with great force. Therefore, salutations to the Sun God, who is known as the one who pours down the waters, and who travels very quickly along the Vindhyagiri path.
