మన ప్రాచీన గ్రంథాలైన వేదాలు, పురాణాలు ‘దేవీ శక్తి’కి అత్యున్నత స్థానం ఇచ్చాయి. బ్రహ్మ, విష్ణు, మహేశ్వరులకంటే కూడా ఆమెను పరమశక్తిగా భావించారు. కానీ మన పూర్వీకులు, ఋషులు ఎందుకు స్త్రీ శక్తిని అంత గొప్పగా భావించారు? ఈ ప్రశ్నకు సమాధానం లోతైన ఆధ్యాత్మిక సత్యంలో దాగి ఉంది.

సృష్టికి మూలం దేవీ శక్తి. సాధారణంగా చెప్పాలంటే, దేవీ శక్తి అంటే స్త్రీ శక్తి. ఈ సమస్త జగత్తు స్త్రీ తత్త్వం ద్వారా సృష్టించబడిందని ప్రాచీన విశ్వాసం. ఒక రోజు స్త్రీ తన సృష్టి శక్తిని నిలిపివేస్తే, ఆ రోజే జీవన చక్రం కూడా ఆగిపోతుంది. జీవం, జననం, పోషణ - ఇవన్నీ కూడా స్ర్తీ శక్త తత్వం యొక్క విస్తరణే.

ప్రకృతిలో ప్రతి రూపంలో స్త్రీ తత్త్వం కనిపిస్తుంది. మన ఉనికికి అవసరమైన ప్రతి అంశాన్ని ‘స్త్రీ’గా పూజించారు. భూమి మనకు ఆధారం - ఆమెను భూమాతగా పిలుస్తాం. నదులు జీవాన్ని ప్రసాదిస్తాయి - వాటిని గంగమ్మ, గోదావరి తల్లిగా ఆరాధిస్తాం. అగ్ని శక్తిని ఇస్తుంది - అది కూడా దేవీ స్వరూపమే. ప్రకృతి మొత్తం జీవాన్ని కాపాడే తల్లి. ఈ నాలుగు మూల తత్త్వాలలోనే సృష్టి ఆరంభం, అంతం దాగి ఉంది.

చరిత్ర కూడా ఒక గొప్ప సాక్షి. ఒక యుగం ఎలా ముగుస్తుందో, ఎలా మార్పు చెందుతుందో స్త్రీ గౌరవం మీద ఆధారపడి ఉంటుంది. రామాయణంలో సీతాదేవి అవమానం, మహాభారతంలో ద్రౌపది అపమానం - ఇవి యుగ పరిణామానికి కారణమైన ఘట్టాలు. అంటే, స్త్రీ శక్తిని గౌరవించడం లేదా అవమానించడం సమాజ భవిష్యత్తును నిర్ణయిస్తుంది.

మన ఋషులు, దేవతలు కూడా ఈ సత్యాన్ని తెలుసుకున్నారు. మన శరీరం స్త్రీ (తల్లి) ద్వారా జన్మిస్తుంది, చివరికి భూమాతలో కలిసిపోతుంది. అందుకే “స్త్రీ తల్లే, స్త్రీ భూమే” అని చెప్పారు. స్త్రీ కేవలం ఒక శరీరం కాదు; ఈ విశ్వాన్ని నడిపించే నిరంతర శక్తి.

ఈ రోజుల్లో స్త్రీని తక్కువగా చూడటం, ఆమెను అవమానించడం - ఇది కేవలం సామాజిక తప్పు మాత్రమే కాదు, ఆధ్యాత్మిక సత్యాన్ని మర్చిపోయిన సంకేతం. స్త్రీ శక్తిని గౌరవించడం అంటే ప్రకృతిని, జీవాన్ని, ధర్మాన్ని గౌరవించడం.

In our ancient scriptures - the Vedas and the Puranas - Devi Shakti is given the highest place, even above the Tridevas (Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh). This is not merely symbolic reverence, but a deep spiritual recognition. Our sages and ancestors understood a profound truth: the feminine principle is the very foundation of creation and existence.

At its core, Goddess Power represents the power of creation itself. In simple terms, it is the power of the feminine. According to ancient belief, the entire universe originates from this feminine energy. The day this creative force ceases to give birth, that very day the cycle of life would come to a halt. Life, growth, and continuity all emerge from this sacred source.

The feminine principle is not limited to human form—it is reflected in every aspect of nature. Everything essential for our existence has been revered as a manifestation of the divine feminine. The Earth, which sustains us, is worshipped as Mother Earth. Rivers, which nourish life, are seen as divine mothers. Fire, the source of energy, is also a form of Shakti. Nature itself is the great protector and nurturer. Within these fundamental elements lies both the beginning and the end of creation.

History stands as a powerful witness to the importance of honoring feminine energy. The fate of entire ages has often been shaped by how women were treated. In the Ramayana, the suffering and abduction of Sita led to a great war. In the Mahabharata, the humiliation of Draupadi became a turning point for a massive transformation. These events remind us that respect or disrespect toward women influences the destiny of societies.

Even the gods and ancient sages acknowledged this eternal truth. Human life begins in a woman - the mother - and ultimately returns to the Earth, also regarded as the universal mother. This is why it is said: “Woman is the mother, woman is the Earth.” She is not merely a physical being, but a manifestation of the divine force that sustains and moves the universe.

Remember this profound spiritual truth. To honor women is to honor life itself, to honor nature, and to uphold dharma.
