🌴. రుద్రసంహితా-యుద్ద ఖండః - అధ్యాయము - 32 🌴
🌻. పుష్పదంతుడు శంఖచూడునకు నచ్చజెప్పుట - 4 🌻
ఓ రాజశ్రేష్ఠా! ఇన్ని మాటలేల? మనస్సులో చక్కగా ఆలోచించుము. రుద్రుడే మహేశ్వరుడు, పరబ్రహ్మ, చైతన్యస్వరూపుడు అని తెలుసుకొనుము (29). దేవతలకు రాజ్యమును, సర్వాధికారములను అప్పజెప్పుము. కుమారా! ఈ తీరున చేసినచో నీకు క్షేమము కలుగ గలదు. అట్లు గానిచో, నీకుభయము తప్పదు (30).
సనత్కుమారుడిట్లు పలికెను- ప్రతాపశాలి, దావనశ్రేష్టుడు అగు శంఖచూడుడు ఈ పలుకులను విని విధిచే సమ్మోహితుడై ఆ శివుని దూతతో ఇట్లనెను (31).
శంఖచూడుడిట్లు పలికెను- మహేశ్వరునితో యుద్ధము చేయకుండగా నా అంతట నేను నిశ్చయించుకొని రాజ్యమును, అధికారములను అప్పజెప్పుట కల్ల. నేను సత్యమును పలుకు చున్నాను (32). ఈ స్థావరజంగమాత్మకమగు జగత్తు అంతయూ కాలమునకు వశమై యున్నది. సర్వము కాలమునందు పుట్టి, కాలమునందు గిట్టును (33). నీవు మంగళకరుడగు రుద్రుని వద్దకు వెళ్లి నా సందేశమును యథాతధముగా చెప్పుము. ఆయన ఏది యోగ్యమో దానిని చేయగలడు. నీవు అధికప్రసంగమును చేయకుము (34).
సనత్కుమారుడిట్లు పలికెను- ఆతడిట్లు పలుకగా శివుని దూతయగు పుష్పదంతుడు తన ప్రభువు వద్దకు వెళ్లెను. ఓ మహర్షీ! ఆతడు యథాతథముగా జరిగిన సంభాషణను రుద్రునకు చెప్పెను (35).
శ్రీ శివ మహాపురాణములో రుద్ర సంహితయందలి యుద్ధఖండలో శివదూత శంఖచూడ సంవాదమనే ముప్పది రెండవ అధ్యాయము ముగిసినది (32).

🌻 The Emissary is sent - 4 🌻
28. He is the overlord of Brahmā. He is lord Śiva even into Viṣṇu. O excellent Dānava, his behest should never be slighted.
29. Of what avail is an unnecessary digression, O great king. Ponder deeply. Know him to be great lord, the great Brahman, the knowledge-formed.
30. Return their kingdoms to the gods as well as their positions of authority. O dear, thus you will fare well. Otherwise, terror will strike you.
Sanatkumāra said:—
31. On hearing this, the valorous king of the Dānavas, deluded by his fate spoke to the emissary of Śiva thus.
Śaṅkhacūḍa said:—
32. I shall neither give up kingdom nor the positions of authority, without a fight with him. This is certain. I tell you the truth.
33. The entire universe whether mobile or immobile is subject to the vagaries of time. Everything originates in time and everything merges into time.
34. Go and tell Śiva exactly what I have said to you. Let him do what is proper. Do not talk much.
Sanatkumāra said:—
35. O good sage, Puṣpadanta the emissary of Śiva when thus addressed by the Asura returned to lord Śiva and told him everything duly.
